We offer a variety of options — traditional tent sites, pull in camper rentals and permanent seasonal sites, a marina with many amenities. We’re located 40 minutes from Pittsburgh along the beautiful Allegheny River. Breathtaking views of the water, sunsets, and stars. A family owned and operated campground.
Imagine Yourself in a Restful Atmosphere, Amid Beautiful Scenery and you have arrived at River’s Edge Campground! A Great Family Environment! Please come and visit us on your next trip up the Allegheny River. Located directly below Lock 9 on the Allegheny River. The campground offers 115 permanent sites with full hookup, and 8 sites with electric and water. Facilities include a laundry room, hot showers, flush toilets, dump station, boat launch, boat dock, beach, and onsite store. Activities include volleyball, horseshoes, playground, pavilion with large TV, and a game room. Yearly and seasonal packages available.
Permanent Sites
Over 115 Permanent leased sites with water, electric and waste hook ups. Our Season begins in May to mid-October. We offer Comcast xfinity packages includes phone, high speed internet and cable. *Please note we currently have a few permanent sites available.*
We offer seasonal Boat slips at the marina as well as storage spaces at additional fees. Golf carts permitted. Electric preferred.
Rental Sites
Our season begins memorial day until labor day weekend. Camping out under the stars or hook up your pop up, RV or travel trailer and it’s ready-set-relax! Full electric, water and waste hook ups at all rental sites. Full bathroom / shower and laundry available for rental sites. Plan ahead — family reunions and groups make memorable trips. Full General store from Memorial day until Labor day. Wood for sale on site.
Marina & Boat Launch
Full slip space rentals for the season or weekend. Launch your boat, jet ski, or rafts and enjoy everything the Allegheny River provides! We provide a beach and swim area for all.

Directions:
Continue onto PA-28 N to West Kittanning
Use the left lane to merge onto US-422 W toward Butler/W Kittanning
Exit immediately on Kittanning exit onto Franklin Hill Road make a left at light (bottom of hill) onto SR 268 – Right onto Wattersonville Rd to Riverhill Rd/T396 in Cowansville.
